Announcement: New BRUT Order Routing
on Sterling
April 3, 2006
ANNOUNCEMENT
– TO ALL STERLING CLIENTS
In
order to make it easier for traders to take full advantage
of the popular BRUT order routing types, Sterling has introduced
four new BRUT order destinations. They are: ‘BRUT’,
‘BRUTDOT’, ‘BRUTX’, and ‘BRUTSMART’.
Users of the Sterling Trader® system will thus be
able to select these extended BRUT routing types in
a more rapid, convenient manner. By using the four new
BRUT order destinations, Sterling
system users can forego having to use the ‘Preference’
field in a Level I or Level II order entry window when
indicating one of these four routing types. This new
feature is available to users of both the Sterling Trader®
Pro and Sterling Trader® Manager platforms. The
specific values of the four new routes are listed below:
| BRUT Destination
Name |
BRUT Route
Description
|
| BRUT |
BRUT book only |
| BRUTX |
BRUT Cross |
| BRUTDOT |
BRUT Directed Cross to SuperDOT
direct touching NASDAQ, BRUT, INET,
and ARCA books first |
| BRUTSMART |
Listed symbols are routed to
BRUTDOT
OTC symbols are routed to BRUTX |
IMPORTANT NOTE:
When using the BRUTDOT and BRUTSMART order destinations, limit orders routed to NYSE (not AMEX) that stay
on the specialist book will be automatically cancel-replaced to avoid billable
charges. This feature is internally supported by the BRUT order engine, not the
Sterling system.
Please ask your trading manager
to enable you for these four new BRUT order destinations.
