NASDAQ
Level 2 Data Feed Replaces NQDS
September
4, 2007
For
Immediate Distribution - To All Sterling Clients:
Please be advised that effective Tuesday,
September 4, 2007, Sterling Service Bureau
will start disseminating the NASDAQ Level 2 Data Feed
on the Sterling Network. This action is taken as a result
of the statement issued by NASDAQ dated August 23, 2007,
when the retirement of the NQDS feed was announced.
All traders who used to receive NQDS
data feed on the Sterling Network now have a choice
to either convert to the NASDAQ Total View® / Open
View® service or use the new NASDAQ Level 2 service
as a direct replacement of the NQDS feed.
The NASDAQ Total View® / Open View®
service is offered to Sterling clients subject to exchange
fees as posted by NASDAQ. Professional users will be
charged $76.00 per month per display device and non-professional
users will be charged $15.00 per month per display device.
The detail fee information can be found on the NASDAQ
web page at http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/trader/mds/nasdaqother/pricing.stm.
The Total View® / Open View®
display can be enabled for all users of the Sterling
Trader platform provided that they agree to the charges
as described above; the necessary subscriber agreements
for professional and non-professional users need to
be executed and placed on file at Sterling. The billing
for the Total View® / Open View® display will
be done by Sterling as part of the monthly service invoicing
cycle.
Please keep in mind that only those
traders for whom the necessary NASDAQ subscriber agreements
for professional or non-professional users are executed
and are on file with Sterling will be eligible for Total
View® / Open View® data.
If a trader who used to receive NQDS
feed wants to receive new NASDAQ Level 2 data no action
is required. The exchange fees for Level 2 are the same
as the ones charged for NQDS.
NQDS data feed was automatically replaced
with the NASDAQ Level 2 feed for all users of the Sterling
Network in the evening of Thursday, August 30, 2007.
If you need more information about the
Total View® / Open View® / Level 2 display or
any related issue, please feel free to contact our Sterling
Administration Department at extension 224, attention
Richard Chu, or extension 235, attention Brian Kuepper.
